MR. JAMES OXBERRY.

Funeral Yesterday.

The death occurred, during the week end, after an ess of several weeks, of Mr. James Ox berry, proprietor of the Palaci Hotel, Kowloon. He passed away on Saturday night at the French Hospital, Causeway Bay, at thi nge of 53 years. Mr. Oxberry had undergone a very seriou operation, and for the tug fu weeks showed Migns of recovery

Among the sporting community of the Colony, Mr. Oxberry was very well known on account of his great interest in the sporting ac tivities of the many clubs he be longed to. He was a cheerful supporter of all good causes, and often presented prizes to be competed for in various clubs. The news of his death, though
