COMMISSIONER'S REPORT ON TURKISH ATROCITIES.
Geneva, December 10. The report of General Laidoner, the Commissioner appointed by the Council of the League of Nations to investigate the Mosul deportations, presented to the League Council, says that statements of refugees show that Turkish soldiers, commanded by officers, occupied villages and obtain- ed arms, pillaged houses and subjected the inhabitants to atrocious violence, even massacre. General Laidoner's personal observations confirmed the pitiable condition of the refugecs, who lost everything. The report emphasises the importance of the deportation of Christians in the region of the Brussel line and adds that the deportations are proceeding.
After reading the report, General Laidoner announced the receipt of a telegram from Mosal stating that all was quiet on the frontier.
The presentation of the report coincided with the receipt of a letter to the Council from the Turkish delegation announcing with- drawal in consequence of the Counell's decision On the Mosul dispute-Reuter,
