HOW FUNDS ARE BEING

APPLIED.

On January 8 of this year the Daan and Chapter of St. Paul's, after consultation with the Lord Mayor of London, appealed through the Times for a sum of from C120,000 to £140,000 for the preservation of St. Paul's Cathedral. Thanks to the gen- erosity of the public the large sum was reached by January 29. On August 26 wa announced, that the fund had passed (250,000; and donations have not yet ceased to reach us, comments the Tiares in mail wook.

The time will come when the Cathedral authorities and the others now joined with them in this great task will be able to say to each subscriber: "Si oventum. requiris circumspice." The work you entrusted us with is done the Cathedral is safe. But that time cannot be yet. It is naturi that those who have given to any of the funds should wish to know that progress is being made with the work.
