This is the handsome A. P. C. building at Nanking, which was formally opened on October 30, in the presence of a numerous assembly ropresenting official and morcantile interests. The building, which contains spacious offices and flats, was designed by the A. P. C.'s architect, who was present at the opening ceremony. This picture was taken before the official gathering and shows the flag decorations. A welcome feature of the occasion, in spite of troubles which have beset Nanking, was the large attendance of Chinese friends,
