With regard to tennis, it was a matter of regret that this year the League programme had to be aban- doned. Referring to lawn bowls, the Chairman said that in 1921 just before he went home on leave he was entertained to dinner by some of his Craigengower friends and then advised the Club to go in for team play, promising four small cups with the view to encouraging the garne. He was glad to see that Craigengower had profited by his advice and had won the League Championship (Applause). He hop ied that the same success would at- tend them next year, although he could assure them that the neigh- bouring club, the Police, would be strong challengers for the honour, Interest had been maintained in billiards throughout the year."
