The Shanghai Rowing Club swiraming bath accommodation was filled to capacity on the fast night of their annual swimming gala, when those photographs were taken. The place was wonderfully decorated and ceiling fans kept the air pleasantly cool. The racing was very keen, and the humorous events, such as the greasy pole pillow figlit kept. the spocta- tors in a great state of hillarity.
