The rotreating Yunnanese are hotly pursued by the Uot Kwan and a fusilade of bullets from the hills around the Kung-Yee Hospital is taking its toll of the retreating forces.
"The rearguard of the Yunnan- ese made a stand on the Great East Road, between the Shah Hoh Road and the Kung-Yea Hospital A sharp tussle, lasting ton minutes, took place, but the Yunnanese yielded to Ust-Kwan and soon after the crowds of Cantonese came along the road,; Meanwhile, a similar skirmish can be heard on the river fronti opposite the cement works, evidently a more serious fight than that at Kung-Yoo for a heavier gun is being used. It is evident that tho Yunnanese have boon driven back and that the Cantonese hold the Eastern end of the city.
