The Labour Conference is passing through a crisis in consequence of conflicting views, among the representative sections, of which the latest instance is the Conference's rejection, as result of "British amendments, of the draft of the 'convention providing for a weekly suspension of work for twenty-four hours in glass factories where tank furnaces are used. The decision, is unfavourably commented on by the workers' group.

The Department of Agriculture has amended the regulations under the Cotton Futures Act so as to make the transfer of a unit of certificated cotton for delivery on future" contracts 25 instead of 100 bales.
