KIDNAPPED GIRL FOR HIS WIFE.
Another case of abducting a young girl with the intention of marrying her without the consent and knowledge of the girl's parents, come before Mr. E. Wi Hamilton at the Kowloon Magistracy yetar day, when a foremna of the Wab Cheung Hing knitting factory was charged with having kidaopped on unmarried girl under the age of 21.
In answer to the charge, the defendant said that the girl told him not to say anything to ber parents as they would object to their marriage.
His Worship said that that was equivalent to a plea of guilty, but he would take some of the evidence in order that he might have some ides of the nature of the case.
In her evidenco, the girl anid that the defendant was employed in a knitting factory, where she herealf was engaged, and ebe sug gested that they should be married. Witness admitted telling the defendant not to mention the matter to her parents.
His Worship imposed sentence of three months hard labour
