I.. de Sousa put up for sale the blook of eight houson known as Aimai Villas, and the land upon which they are built, cash as a separato int, and these all pasted into the hands of the 1. Hing Company Limited, at varying prices and with- out a great deal of competition.
No. 2 was the first to bo put up.. comprising 5,293 square feat.at a Crown rentul at $16.20. Opening at $110.000, it woat. by $500 bida to $84,500.
No. 3, comprising 4,925 squarò foot ob a Crown rental of $16,26, opraeil at the same prica nad went for 802,600,
No. 4, comprising 1,870 squaro feet, at n Crown rental of $18.56, opened at $80,000 and who dia- posed of for $32,000,
No. 5, comprising $4,002 squaro feet at a Crown rental of $10.10, did not go beyond the opening bid, one of $30,000. Noither did No. 6, comprising 0,907 square foot at In Crown rontál of 327,45, and No. 7, comprising 6,076 square foot at Ja Crown rental of $24,45; but in both latter cases the initial bid waa $35,000.
