CHINESE VOLUNTEERS.--During the war, realizing the valuable work of the Shanghai Volunteer Corps, the residents of Chapel formed their own Volunteer 3 Corps. On a recent Sunday a general parade and routo march were held, over 1,000 officers and mea turning out. The Corps consists of eight units and is commanded by Mr. Wong Plog-vien.
