The race for the oup presented- - by the King is to take place on July 26. The organization will ho conducted by the Royal Aore Club, who have decided on # course of approximately 930 miles. starting at Martlesham and Felix- stowe.
The turning points in Scotland will be Leith and Dalmuir, and, the southern point will be Fal- mouth. The finish will bo at the. Naval Air Station, Lec-ou-Solent. The race is open to both aoro- planes and seaplanos,
The novel feature of the race is. that, beyond boing scen at the throa turning points, the competi- tors may go' as they please, and it is expected that the fast machines. will complete the whole distanco- of 950 miles In a little 'över six hours.
Tho cumpotitors will be started all together at 5.30 am., and, tho contest will closo balf an hour after sunset the same day. The race will be on handicap, and the allowance will be dedusted from. the total time taken in completing the course.
