A special meeting roprosenting Kai-fong, or Street Committees was held at the Tung Wah Hospital yesterday afternoon to consider the udvigability of securing the sorvions of an additional European medion! oflicor for the Hospital. Mr. Mo Chi-lung, Chairman of the Hospital, presided.

Tho Directors had found a suitablo alto on the foreshore at Tainu Wan (near the Tolograph Bay), and a considorable outlay was needed for lovelling it out and the construction of the new hospital. The Govern meat had promised to compensate thie Tung Wah Hospital, when the present site was resumed, but the amount suggested, viz. $30,000, would be inadequato. "An architect estimated the approximate east of building the new hospital at one and a half lakhs. It was to decide what live of action the Directors I should take in the situation that
