CORRESPONDENCE.”
(To the Editor of the * Hoagkong) Telegraph.
Sir.
Our Cenotaph.
agree with "Patriot" in every rospect concerning the Cenotaph, and I think it is a most disgraceful thing to see the way in which it is misused. I have myself removed coolies from the place, much to their disgust as they did not like being disturbed lu their sleep regarding it as a sort of recognised thing to put down a mat thore und go to sloup.
This kind of thing ought to cease, and it can only be stopped by posting a constable there day and night, making the coolies understand that it is not a place for a night's "doss," but a place to be regarded as encred to every trus Briton and one whero wo should pay homage to our gallant men who died for our Empiro in the great war for civilisation.
Yours etc.
