The Budget was introduced in the House of Commons today. Its main features were:—

The tea duty is reduced by one-half.

The sugar is duty reduced by three half pence per pound, Postal rates are unchanged.

The duty on sweetened tablewuters 48 abolished. The McKenna duties are abolished us from August 1st. The tax on theatre keats up to sixpence is abolished. There is no alteration in the income tax or super tax. The duties on encon, coffee and chitory are reduced by one half, that on cocoa as from April 30, and that on coffee, chicory and tea as from May 5th.
