disposal of the Government. This Committee will compile the Books which it is proposed to print, and as they are required for the Government for private Schools, I have sanctioned that a sum of $250 (which is sufficient for the first year) be devoted towards paying the expenses of the printing, on the understanding that the books are sold at a rate to be fixed by the Governor. In conclusion, I have to add that the Legislative Council has approved of the scheme, and has expressed its willingness to vote the amount required for carrying it into operation.
