It is her by notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for quarries", will be received at this Office until Noon on Monday, the 24th. day of December, 1923, for the lotting of the undermentioned Granite Quarries at Hongkong and the New Territories, for one year or, as an alternative. for a period of 3 years from the 1st. Januy, 1924 Each tender must be accompanied by a receipt to the effect that the tenderer has deposited in the Colonial Treasury a sum as stated in the schedule hereunder opposite to each quarry, as a pledge of the one tiles of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if the tenderer refuses to carry out of his tender and comply with the conditions hereinafter contained, should the tender be be accepted.
The Government does not bind itself to accopt the highest or any tender,
Forms of tender can be obtained from the Director of Public Works.
