I have to request that His Excellency may apply for the Services of Lieut Gopet, RE, who could perform the duties of Assistant Surveyor General under conditions similar to those under which I at one time held the same office.
At the same time, it is submitted that it would appear desirable to reconsider the question of Mr Ajax's remuneration brought forward in para S. O. No633.
