ONE MINUTE BEFORE NOON This is perhaps the mos: remarkable picture taken in the earthquake at Tokyo. At one minute to twelve the city shook and the clock at Tokyo University stoppel, furnishing undeniable proof of the time of the quake. FLAMES REACH TO THE SKIES- Yuakuchio Streat disappeared in flames, clouds of smoke casting a gloom over the sky. The steady progress of the firs can be seen from this picture, taken from the Imperial Hotel.
MONUMENT AS NOTICE BOARD
The bronze statue of Prince Komatsu was used as
a notice board by refugees who plastered it with posters tellinz of their escape, and asking for information about their families.
BIG DISTRICT DEVOURED BY FLAMES Marunouchi, one of the largest districts of Tokyo, was swapi by flames which burnt everything in their path. The inferno created in that district can be judged from this picture taken from the Imperial. Hotel.
