the Singapore Supreme Court last-¦ wat in awarding $24,434 to the owners the Cupidor owned steamer Yug Vinie Wal for sal- vage work performed, in July, 1920, to the Japanese steamer Kenkon Maru, No. 3 which was disabled and in serious danger ás the result of a typhoon encounter- ed south of Shanghai. Evidence had been given on the previous day that the Yue Ying Wa saw the Japanese steamer flying dis- tress signals. She Was very seriously damaged above decks and her engines were disabled, and the Yue Ying Wa towed her to's safe anchorage..
