I have the honor to report that in the 1st Instant it was pointed out to me by the Clerk of Councils, a Voucher of the Treasury Department that the Fire Brigade Voucher for $175, due to Messrs Lammert Altinism & Co and $16 due to Messrs Fristiel & Co were made payable to the Chinese Shroff of those Firms, instead of the respective Firm.
