OWING to the receipt of numerous complaints from
patrons as to tla incivility of various members of the staff of the Hotels under the Management of this Company in Hong- koog, such complaints being to the effect that "Cash" has been demanded in satiefaction of Liquors supplied, and patrons thereby inconvenienced by not being allowed to sign "chite," we beg to draw the attention of our clientele to the terms of the

(b) any sale by the proprietor of an hotel of liquor to be coneumed in the dining room of the hotel at one of the regular meals of the botal or of Iquor to be con- sumed in conjunction with any other bona fide meal for which a charge of at least thirty cents can be reasonably made;
(c) any sale in accordance with the conditions of hir
licence by the holder of a restaurant adjunct licence... Where any. intoxicating liquor is sold by a servant or employer in contravention of section 3 of this Ordinanca "the employer, whether a natural person or a body corporate, shall be deemed to be guilty of an offence against this Ordinance unless Это proves affirmatively that the sale was against his express orders and without his, consent or connivance.
6. Every person to whom any liquer is, to the Enowledge of such person, supplied in contravention of this Ordinance shall also be guilty of an offence against this Ordinance.
