Blulber does not play the same part in the lives of these people as it does in Greenland. These Eskimo live for the greater part of the winter in unheated snowbute. The temperature is very low, frequently 40deg, below zero, and it is only possible to sustain life because of their good' clothes warm fur rugs and sleeping bags.
The Eskimo of these parts are hardy to an incredible degree, but good clothes are indispens ablo. Whereas the first ques- tions Greenlanders put when meeting strangora ara about meat supply, here they ask about clothes.
