GECOPHONE:
RECEIVING SETS & AERIAL EQUIPMENT
FOR
WIRELESS BROADCASTING
BRITISH
MADE
THE latest practical development of Electrical Science is Wireless Broadcasting, and seldom
before has anything aroused such snormous interest amongst the general public
As in the case of so many modern electrical developments, the General Electric Co., Ltd. anticipated the possibilities of the situation, and GECOPHONE Receiving Sets, are the result of long and careful study of the problems involved, combined with a thorough appreciation of the requiremente o the moment, consequent upon the contemplated Proadcasting schemas.
The G. E. C. and the Wireless Valve.
Whilst the general public may not have directly associated the GE.C.. with Wireless, yet many thousands of men in the Fighting Services, to whom wireless meant so much during the war, 83on became as familiar with "OSRAM " Valves as they were with OSRAM Lamps.
The valve has been the key to the remarkable advances made in wireless during the past. few years.
Directly its importance brcame apparent, the G.& C. devoted do small proportion of their O RAY Factory to investigating how best it could be designed and produced in bulk. The highest success attended their efforts, and during the war the CSRAM fac ory of the G.E.G. was called upon to make buge number of wireless valves for the Fighting Service. This important development has led to the establishment of a separate manufacturing organis anon (The M.O. Valve Co., Ltd. ), which is now engaged in the production of Wireless Valves of all types.
Manufacturing Facilities
Pioneer work of this description calls for the formation of a highly skilled staff of Wireless Engineers, and it is due to the creation and maintenance of this staff that the UECOPHONE Sets which are now offered to the public are of such perfect design and construction.
A further valuable asset possessed by the Company for the production of these dats and their accompanying equipment is its vast manufacturing organisation. For years in specialised factories grouped up and down the country every conceivable class of electrical plint and accessories has been designed and manufactured. This fact ensures that a thoroughly sound "and workmanlike apparatus is offered to the public, worthy of and calculated to in every way.
uphold the reputation of its manufactürer.
Design and Finish,
Simplicity is the keynote of all GECOPHONE, Sets and Equi; ment. They are noticeably devoid of technical complications, and can be installed and operated with the utmost ease.
The various types of Receiving Sets are contained in handsome polished mahogany caser, "and are of such appearance that they will be an ornament to say room..
