The cat was chased, caught and savaged. Defendants (he eaid) looked on and made no attempt to get the dogs away.
One defendant stated that he. took his dog for a run and know- ing it would not go for cats, let it loose. Soon afterwards a bull. terrier came on the scene and rushed at the cat eventually getting it in the back. -
His dog also ran, and a crowd stood round watching the cat being pulled to pieces. He at temped to get the dog away by kicking it.
The other defendant gave a similar account.
Each was fined £8 and £2 special expenses.
