Repairing Road to East of M.1 Police Station
PLAN OR DESCRIPTION.
The Road leading from M.1 Police Station, Ranca Castle, for a distance of about 15 miles towards Shaukiwan, has become almost impassable and dangerous for horses. If it is remembered that this is the only drive used by the Residents, the necessity for its immediate repair will be allowed. This Estimate provides for an amount for the repair beyond the sum which is available from the General Items of Repairs to Roads out of Victoria. As it is impossible to expend the greater part of the general item on such a small length of Road to the detriment of other roads in the Colony, all of which require their full share of the sum to be expended upon them.
