Supplementary Volume 1871-72 Transmits Reports and Estimates regarding certain Public Works.

On the 6th Inst., I reported the Roof of Government House to be so much destroyed by white ant as to render it unsafe. This Report and Estimate is brought forward for the purpose of providing an entirely new Roof with a central hall.

The ceilings of all the Upper rooms, as well as those over the Bed room floor, will have to be renewed throughout the Verandahs. New Cornice will also be required to all these rooms, and they will have to be painted.

The lower rooms will be colour washed and the waterways for the Roof will also have to be renewed.

The sum which will be spent is shown in the accompanying Estimate.
