OBITUARY.
Major Macdonald.
It is with much regret that we obronicle the death of Major Donald Macdousld, formerly of Hongkong, which took plasa at Home recently, following an operation. Well known in the Colony a consulting engineer, an officer of the Volunteer Corps and the Fire Brigade, as well as a prominent Freemason, to say nothing of his social popularity, the deceased gentleman had wide circle of friends, who bave learned of his anexpected demise with much sorrow, and who feel the utmost sympathy for his widow and children.
