Thirdly. If a Vessel having Passengers on board sails
from a
foreign Port to
a British Port, and
Cabin Passengers
only
take on board Cabin
Passengers
only
will she thereby be
brought under the Passenger Act as
regards
her other
Passengers, - and
so with. If
the
Vessel as
above calls at a British
Port and takes
Cargo only,
but obtains a clearance from
such British Port does the
same thereby bring her within the scope of the Passenger Act as regards her Passengers.
A copy of the Passenger
Act is annexed and
your
particular attention is
requested
as
regards the first
question to the 58th Section
of the Act
as
regards the second to the 13th, 14th and
38th, and 44th Sections
and as
regards the third to the definition of a Cabin Passenger in the
2nd Section.
