mission to construct and supervise a freeport at Dedeagatch or neighbourhood, probably consisting of ray resentatives of Britain, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey, Jugo-Slavin and Romania.

Bulgaria is dissatisfied with the decision regarding Dedeagach, on the ground that such outlet would be useless to them unless they had unhampered possession thereof.

Ismet Pasha, consenting to the demilitarisation, remarked that Turkey was making a sacrifice. He suggested the establishment of guarantees of the inviolability of the demilitarised zone.

An arrangement has been reached for providing Bulgaria with an outlet on the Aegean.

It was regarded as the next best thing to Bulgaria's demand for possession of Dedeagatch, though it was felt that M. Venizelos might have stretched a point by ceding Dedeagatch, thus conciliating Bulgària.

The Turks appear pleased over the arrangement, because it tends to thwart the attempt to reconstitute the Balkans League.
