London, November 15. -

A British memorandum on the Near East has been sent to Rome and Paris, and there is every reason to believe that an understanding will be reached on the main points emphasised.

There is no suggestion of presenting the Turks at Lausanne with a ready-made treaty for signature, as apparently Turkish cir cles are inclined to believe.

The only object of the inter Allied preliminary consultations is to lay down the general principles on which the peace treaty will be built.

Paris, November 15.

As a result of an interview between Ambassador Hardinge and M. Poincare it is understood the Anglo-French divergencies with regard to their Near East policy no longer exist.
