The above pictures demonstrate the progress of aviation. The middle machine was used in 1909 by Orville Wright, with a passenger, in what was then regarded as a fine flight. doing 30 miles at an average speed of 46 miles en bour. The upper picture shows a Verville racer capable of doing 200 miles an hour. In the lower pictare we see one of the three plaries which make daily flights between Cleveland and Detron, on a regular passenger line operated by the Aeromarine Airways Company. These planes carry 14 persons, and cover the to-mily journey in approximately an bour and a half.
