The Japanese authorities are reported to have decided to grant the application for a permit to establish an aerial passenger ser=' between Tokyo and Osska, maja by Mr. Hasegawa, a magunts of Hamamatsu. Owing to scarcity of stocks and increasing demand abroad, the Yokohama raw silk market bas been very strong, says z Japen paper. Large transactions were recorded on the time market, the buyers baing supposed to be foreign marcbants. This gave much encouragement to the mar- ket. There is much talk about the fact that direct exporters of raw silk are now devoting them- atives to selling Japanese raw silk at New York, and businesa negotiations are progressing ac- tively. It is said that the con- tracts already concluded have reached 40,000 kin with prices between Y1,920 and Y1,950.
