This picture shows how the crew of the Thistlemore was rescued after the British freighter went aground on Peaked Hill Bar, the "Graveyard of Cape Cod." Pounding waves threatened it with destruction. Coast guards shot a line across the bow of the boat and the breeches buoy was rigged up. The crew rode to shore, one by one, by means of the trolley-likə arrar gement shows above.

This photo was taken a few minutes after an explosion at fire to the U. S. Treasury Building at Washington. The fire was caused by an explosion of gasoline which ignited when worters on the roof were laying tar paper on a temporary siructure. See the firemen laying the hose across the Treasury roof,

Gen. Von Ludendorf, quartermaster general of the German art in the world war, is now living in his villa at Munich, devoting his time to writing. When this photo of Ludendorf was taken recently he insisted that the 20-inch statue of my kaiser be in the photo.
