I hereby certify that I have carefully Examined Mr Edmund Sharp, Crown Solicitor, Hongkong - I find that this gentleman suffered for a period of eighteen Months from dysentery passing into

tropical Dysentery, which deliged him leave the Colony on Medical Certificate.

Mr. Sharp had Lung disease ... in an early stage on his way home. He is much improved, but in my long experience Dealing with Military Invalids from all parts of the world, enables me to state today, that if Mr Sharp returns to the Colony now, he will certainly relapse En route, and on arrival be unfit for duty, to say nothing of the great risk to his life.

I recommend that Mr. Sharp should have an extension of leave on Medical Certificate.
