I have the honor to apply for six months further leave of absence from Hongkong, to commence from the 7th August next, the expiration of my present leave. Enclosed I beg to forward Medical Certificate and copy of His Excellency Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell's dispatch Number 940 of the 6th February 1872.
