British Expert's Report. Reuter's Fervice. ) (Continued from Page 1.)
London, January 28.
Sir Benjamin Robertson, the Indian famine expert, who was recently appointed on behalf of British famine relief organisations to enquire into the methods of distribution of relief in Bossís, now reports relegryphically from Buzuluk that be found conditions in the Saratov and Siara provinces graver than he was led to believe. A Tersonal insrection of villages showed that there was practically no food left. Erlief was hopelessly inadequate. Whole households, especially adults, were literally dying from starvation. He'testifies to the devoted work of the Bave the Chilren Fund at Saratov and of the Friends at Bozluk. The work was carried out in a practical and systematic manner, the food exclusively reaching those for whom it was intended. Sir Benjamin Robertson recommends the systematic feeding of as many as possible of the adults, numbering over a million, in these two areas until the harvest, Helief at present is largely confined to children.
