With reference to my desp: 332 of the 10th Sept? I have to acquaint you that I have appointed Mr. W. H. Price, the Engineer of the Starbor Works at S. Leone, to be Surveyer General at Hong Kong. I have to inform Mr. Price of his selection for this appointment (for which he applied to me while he was in England in September last) and instruct him to take the earliest opportunity to proceed to Hong Kong.
