COMMERCIAL NEWS, I
AIR SERVICE' FOR HAWAII That in inter-island airplane mail and passenger service may become a reality is indicated in a letter received recantly-by the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce from Mr. C. A. Webb of San Francisco, who asked for parti culars regarding the possibility of establishing an sarial line be tween the islands. The Fine would handla mail and papers, with a few passengers. Accord- ing to Mr. Webb, he would use 6. passenger flying-boats.
P. 1. CHAMBER FAVOURS FILIPINO ATTACHES.
The board of directors of the Philippine chamber of commerce has approved a resolution favour in the appointment of Filipinos as commercial atinches of the Philip- vina islands in the embassies.and legations of the United States'in foreign countries. It is said that`. this attitude of the chamber is in accordance with the suggestions put forth by Goramor General Wood to send Filipinos to em- bassies and legations to Kct in the capacity of commercial representatives. Mambers of the Philippine chamber of commerce believe that the presence of Fill- pines as commercial attaches to look after the interest of the Philippine Islands abroad is of vital importance, as it would promote a better commercial understanding between the is larda and other countries. They also say that it would aid in disseminating more information about the islands and in rectifying misinformation.
