Rumours have been circulated- of late that Nelson's old flagship. the Victory, was in such con- dition in Portsmouth Harbour that she might be last to the nation. Mr. Amery bas informed General Seely, however, that the Admiralty had no intention of breaking up the Victory, and that there was no foundation for the rumours that she was in im- mediate danger of sinking at her moorings owing to deterioration of her structore. The condition of the old warship. added Mr. Amery, was engaging the careful consideration of the Admiralty in order that the necessary steps may be taken to preserve her.

a few days.
The paper prepared by Sir Frederick Sykes, Controller of Civil Aviation, on the subject of airships in this country and their possibilities, has been laid before interested Ministers, and stress was put upon their value for official communications.
It is probable, therefore, that the question of their disposal, from the Emperial point of view, will be under review at the meet- ing of the above-mentioned, sub- committee.
The interest taken by the public in airships is very keen, and hardly a day goes by without inquiries at the Air Ministry
visitors to London as to whether they can see one of them at close quarters at Croydon Aerodrome. It should be stated that the airships are now at Palbam.
