I have the honour to Report for the information of Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Colonies.
I arrived in Hongkong on the 29th from Sierra Leone in accordance with a dispatch from Governor Pope Hennessy.
Convincing Bruce of the offer of the Appointment of Colonial Surgeon at Hong Kong of which I enclose a Copy.
As from Hennessy was absent at Lagos I wrote to the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
