I have the honor to report that I have carefully examined Dr Murray, Colonial Surgeon Hongkong, who has resided twenty-six years in China, twelve of which have been passed in this Colony.
His health has been good, with exception to an attack & an acute inflammation of the lungs which seized him five years ago, and from which he has since been well.
He has been generally equal to his duties. In the latter part of last year he suffered from haemorrhage from the bowels, followed by a marked tendency to hepatic diarrhea.
There is in my opinion, no likelihood...
