more than a brief reference here. Fiddling with one finger, on the strings of a violin, as he humor- ously remarked, his talent was discovered at the early age of five, and he was given a proper tuition under varions muestrou. It was due to the efforts of Professor Auer, that the latent talent in the young musician was given its fult development. His public career. on the concert stage was com- menced at Berlin in 1914, but it was not till the end of the war that his talent was given full opportunities for public recogni-i tion. He has performed with great success in America.
