DARING HOLD-UP IN LONDON.
Pensions Clerk Robbed of £2,000.
A daring hold-up by three armed men occurred at Regent's Park recently. At 9.30 Mr. Grant,
tho clerk of wages Ministry of Pensions, was sont with a sum of about £2,000 in a motor car. On leaving York: Gate three mon stepped in front of the car, and presenting loaded revolvers called upon the driver to stop.
This he did, and the men thon ardored Mr. Grant and Mr. Miller, his assistant, to clear out if they valued their lives. They loft the car and the messenger sitting beside the driver was also order- ed to leave. Under throat of a revolver he did so.
Mounting the car, which still contained the money, the three, mon ordered the driver to drive according to their direction.
The driver has since reported the matter to the police. Ie states he was eventually turned off the car, and the man drove away by themselves. Scotland Yard has issued a description of the three wanted men.
