Sir Algernon West Dies at the Age of 88.
By the death of Bir Algernon! West which took place last month in his 89th year, has broken one of our last links, among public men, with pre-Victorian timos.
Born within hail of Whitehall on April 4, 1832, the year of the great Reform Bill, Sir Algernon was proud of his ancestry. On his father's side he was linked with William Pitt, and of the other side of his family he wrote in his
