I have the honor to bee that inclose my leave certificate from the Hong Kong Government. and most respectfully I may be granted an extension of leave on half pay for six months.

I was transferred by the Indian Government to Hong Kong in 1867 and am not entitled to the leave for which I now apply under the Colonial regulations

When I obtained my leave in July last I had resided for upwards of twelve consecutive years in India and Hongkong as will be seen by the attached Certificate
