The Committee's report stated that the profit made on the working of the Club was 9729.04. Thirty- five new members had joined the Club and twenty-six had left, making the present total 158, an increase
of eight over last year. With re- Sard to the annual competitiona there were large entries. They were keenly contested and com- pleted in good time. The Hong- Messrs. kong team, including Lapsley (skip), Farrell and Simp- on of the Club, visited Shanghai in September, but were were obliged to admit defeat after a close finish. They were, how- ever, successful against Hankow. For the first time since its incep- tion the League Championship was won by Kowloon Bowling Green lub. There were no competitions held during the season as very few players were in evidense. Since the last Annual General Meeting four members, viz. G. Ireland, J. Macdonald, C. J. Hig- ginbotham and H. E. Lafley, had died, whilst a retired member, Mr. A. Bain, passed away at home' during the year.
