The whole evening went with a delightful swing, thanks to their tireless energy. The floors were in fine condition and everything combined to made the dance one: of the most onjoyable that bus ever been held in the Colony. Proof of this is to be found in the fact that dancing was kept up to
much later hour than was] Siatow, Amoy and anticipated, and that even thon there were demands for more.

Special mention should be made of the fact that half-way through the programme the Company, lod by the Misses Woods, sang Pan! Rouben's famous patriotic song Kugland. The song was sung in honour of Field Marshal Earl Haig, as it served to remind those present of the deserving cause for which the event had been organised.
The catering was in the capable hands of the Hongkong Hotel staff, and thanks are due to Mr JH. Taggart for his gonerosity in this connection. In addition to those who have been already mentioned it is desired to express thanks to the Naval authorities for flags and assistance in the decorations, to the Electric Com. Donnelly and pany, Messrs.
