Bir Bruce Porter, a doctor of 4 m/s... Mayfair, stated that the deceased PT Shanghai lady had been a patient of his for T/T Singapore, neurasthonis, and nervous exhaus-} T/T Japan tion since 1918. Occasionally she had waves of depression but never serious until last September, when stopping at Westgate. Witness then had a nurse constantly in attendance on her. On Novem- ber 9 the deceased expressed & feeling that she might throw her self out of a window. Thereupon witness ordered a second nurse to! be in attendance. She was never left, and the family was warned. On the day of the tragedy she eluded the nurse for two or three minutos, which was sufficient time to allow her to leave the house. She was a very devout Roman Catholic. The deceased must have hidden a hat some- where to enable hur to leave the house,
