was officially announced It recently that with regard` to telephone charges, the new tariff would be introduced on and from the 10th January 1921 as regards new exchange circuits and ad- ditions to existing installations. It will be applied to existing installations on the 1st April 1921, or as the conditions of the existing contracts permit.
The annual installation rental will be:
For London-Exclusive, £8, 108.; auxiliary line, £7, 10s.
Private branch
exchange First line, £8, 108.; additional line (each). £7, 10%. extensions (each), £2, 5s.
Where the distance of the sub- scribers premises from the ex- change is more than two miles in London, or one mile in the pro- vinces, an additional charge of 258. ner furlong will be made in the excess distance, measured radially.
